Abstract submission

Instructions for sending communications

Please note that abstract submission is only possible after your online registration

The Scientific Program will include Poster, Oral and Flash Communications (students only).

Once the abstract is submitted, the decision of the Scientific Committee must be awaited. Each participant can submit up to two abstracts as presenting author, but only one abstract could be selected for oral communication.

Before Abstract Submission, please take into account the following considerations:

  • All abstracts must be written in English.
  • Authors MUST use the abstract template and follow the Abstract Guidelines detailed on it. ONLY WORD DOCUMENTS (.doc and .docx) WILL BE ACCEPTED.

You can download the abstract template here

Oral communications

Once the abstract has been accepted for presentation, please complete the payment process.

The oral presentation can be in English or Spanish, with the exception of the Young Scientist Sessions, which is only allowed in English.

  • Speaking time for Plenary Lectures: 45 min (40 min plus 5 min for questions)
  • Speaking time for Oral Sessions: 14 min (discussion session at the end of the Oral Session)
  • Speaking time for Young Scientists Sessions: 10 min (7 min plus 3 min for questions).

Posters will be exposed during the whole Meeting. Authors must be physically present in their posters during the corresponding session, which will be indicated in the final version of the Scientific Program.

Flash communications

The Scientific Committee will choose, from among all the Poster communications presented, some of them to be presented in Flash communication format. If chosen, the responsible authors will be informed that their posters have been selected for additional presentation in flash format.
